C.H.A. (Chris) van Oostrum is Assistant Professor of Company Law at the University of Leiden, Institute for Private Law, Company Law Department.

Chris van Oostrum is an Assistant Professor of Company Law at the Institute of Private Law (Department of Company Law). Before this he worked at various educational and research institutes. Chris studied both law and history and obtained his Ph.D. at Leiden University with a thesis titled ‘Recourse in relation to group finance’.
Chris lectures several courses in the Master’s programme Company Law and supervises bachelor's and master's theses. Chris pursues research relating to group law and group financing. In addition, Chris engages in research with focus on the intersection between sustainability and corporate law.
