Open Science Monitoring and Evaluation

Over the next two years, CWTS and Dialogic will develop a robust and context-specific monitoring and evaluation framework for Open Science in the Netherlands. This will be accompanied by the development of a prototype dashboard to showcase how such an Open Science monitor could be made visible.

The project consists of two phases. The first will involve community consultation to answer important questions:

  • What Open Science practices are underway in the Netherlands?
  • What Open Science activities are valued by the Dutch research community?
  • What barriers are currently constraining the roll-out and visibility of Open Science in the Netherlands?

These questions will be addressed through surveying, community consultations and “town hall meetings” to be held across stakeholder communities within the Dutch research landscape.

The second phase of the project will be to develop a prototype dashboard to visualise Open Science in the Netherlands. This dashboard will reflect the findings of the first phase, in keeping with the commitment to monitor what you value.
