History, Classics, Russian Studies and Dutch Studies rank high in Keuzegids Masters
Master studies History, Classics, Russian Studies and Dutch Studies have received the label ‘top programme’ in the Keuzegids Masters of March 2018. The study guide bases its results on the opinion of students (through the National Student Survey) and experts (NVAO).
The independent Keuzegids (‘Guide to help you choose’) compares all master’s programmes in The Netherlands per discipline so students can easily see which university offers the best programme on a certain topic. The four Leiden programmes History (research), Classics (research), Russian and Eurasian Studies, and Neerlandistiek (‘Dutch Studies’) all score ‘excellent’.
The Keuzegids calls research master Classics and Ancient Civilisations a ‘true top notch programme’. Quoting the guide: ‘The lecturers give excellent classes, the didactic level as well as the content level is high’. History (research) is rated quite a bit more positively than last year. Students praise the quality of the lecturers as well as the good scientific training they receive in the programme.
Russian and Eurasian Studies students are also content. According to the results in the Keuzegids they receive proper guidance and obtain plenty of scientific skills. Neerlandistiek (‘Dutch Studies’) is praised for its strong, high quality programme.
