Successful Book Launch and Dissent Event at the Grotius Centre

On 11 December 2015, the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies organized a seminar on "The Role of Dissent in International Law" in The Hague.

 

Juan Francisco Soto, Debra Gerstein and Neha Dubey, all students of the LL.M. advanced programme in Public International Law gave excellent presentations. Andrès Sarmiento, PhD candidate at the Grotius Centre, spoke about the Dissent at the International Court of Justice.

Judge Christine Van den Wyngaert and Prof. Dino Kritsiotis (Nottingham University) served as commentators in the panels on "The Dissent and International Criminal Justice" and "The Philosophy of Dissent and its Role in the International Court of Justice".

The seminar was followed by the launch of Judge Antônio A. Cançado Trindade’s new book "The Construction of a Humanized International Law".
