Leiden Language Modeling Center
Collaboration
The LLMC collaborates regularly with partners from society, business, and science.
TNO
TNO focuses on the practical application of scientific research for Dutch society and is particularly well suited to assessing its practical applicability. This takes place across a wide range of fields, such as health, energy, security and defence, and industry. TNO has already offered internships to many Humanities students in their final year at Leiden, and some of these students have even gone on to work for TNO.
AI Factory Groningen
The LLMC has the explicit ambition to develop into a ‘satellite’ of the AI Factory Groningen, which was established by TNO and SURF with European support. As a satellite, the LLMC would serve as a unique knowledge centre in the south-west of the Netherlands for generative (LLM-based) AI, providing knowledge and expertise to users of the AI Factory. At that point, the LLMC will also be able to use the AI Factory’s computing facilities.
