Kabbalah in Colour
This educational workshop is for students who wish to learn more about this esoteric tradition within Judaism. The workshop begins with a brief introductory lecture by Jan Yosef, providing an overview of what Kabbalah entails. The focus will be on the ‘Tree of Life’—the spiritual significance of its successive spheres, or energy centres (Sefirot)—and the colours associated with them. Following this, students will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned by painting candleholders. By incorporating their knowledge of the colours found within the ‘Tree of Life,’ students can personalise their candleholders while also getting to know the other participants better. At the end of the workshop, you may take your candleholder home with you.
Registration
The workshop is open to enrolled students from Leiden University and other Dutch universities. The maximum number of participants is 30; registration is mandatory. Please sign up here.
All participants are expected to adhere to the house rules. The location will be announced to registered participants shortly before the event. Please bring your LU card/Student ID.
