NITS’ second meeting will take place at Leiden University on Friday,June 2, 2023!

NITS is the Network of Interdisciplinary Translation Studies in the Netherlands and Flanders.The aim of the network is for researchers in translation studies and other related disciplines, such as interpreting, machine translation or translation technology, to come together once a year for a one-day conference to present research ideas, ongoing projects or teaching innovations that happen at the intersection of translation studies with other disciplines in this geographical area, and from this platform be able to collaborate further on projects, research and teaching.

Call for papers

For NITS 2023, we welcome contributions on all aspects related to translation studies in the broadest sense. Submissions can take the form of:

  • 20-minute paper presentations on educational or research projects (current and future)
  • posters of educational or research projects (current and future)
  • 10-minute practice reports on best practices and lessons learnt

Abstracts should be max. 300 words (excl. references), clearly indicate the type of submission (paper, poster or practice report) and can be written in English or Dutch. Please submit your abstract through Easychair.

  •  Call for papers and abstract submission open:January 27, 2023
  • Abstract submission deadline: March 24, 2023
  • Notification of acceptance:April 21, 2023
  • Registration closes: May 5, 2023
  • NITS 2023:June 2, 2023
