A friend of mine is studying here and already told me that Leiden is a very nice city. That's why I am visiting the Master's Open Day. The university has a great atmosphere, de buildings are not massive and today I experienced a very open environment. People are easy to talk to and the contact between lecturers and students is very relaxed. I’m going home with a very good impression of the Leiden programmes.
I study Applied Psychology in Eindhoven and I’m doing an internship at a school for children with special needs. There I found out that this is a very interesting field. So I decided to visit the Master's programme Child and Adolescent Psychology as well as Education and Child Studies today. Leiden is one of the few universities where they have a pre-master and where you can get a registration.

'I’ve just finally got accepted for the conservatorium – third time lucky – doing drums. I’m really thrilled, so I’ll definitely do that anyway. But for job security it’s always a good idea to do a Master’s. Otherwise maybe I’ll have no choice but to be a music teacher. I’m interested in adolescence, so I’m looking at Clinical Psychology and Child & Adolescent Psychology. Well yes, it could be a pretty busy year…'

'This Master’s Day is a great idea. I’d like to work with children, but Clinical Neuropsychology is also interesting. I’m finding it difficult to make a choice, and I’m hoping today will help me get a better idea of what I want to do.'
