Programme structure

This specialisation combines advanced training in mathematics at a world-class institute with interdisciplinary courses on high-tech instrumentation and design and an industrial placement, preparing you for a career in which you develop and apply sophisticated mathematical techniques to innovations in industry.

Programme outline

The Mathematics and High-Tech Innovation specialisation consists of a mathematics component (roughly the first year) where you will follow courses and conduct a research project within the Mathematical Institute, and a High-Tech Innovation component (roughly the second year) where you will take courses in physics, chemistry, astronomy or computer science and undertake a placement at a company or research institute, leading to your master’s thesis.
