Leiden University Green Office

The Leiden University Green Office (LUGO) helps Leiden University to become more sustainable. They want to achieve this by reducing the ecological footprint of our University and by creating awareness about sustainability amongst staff and students.They organise interesting lectures, events and meet-ups. LDE Centre for Sustainability

The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability is an interdisciplinary research centre in which three universities join forces: Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam. These Universities work together to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy. The Centre for Sustainability organises events such as symposia, lectures, in-house days. They also have a student committee and are regularly looking for new student members. For more information, please have a look at their website.

Sustainable Business Battle

The Sustainable Business Battle is a 3-week business challenge in which 10 interdisciplinary teams of students compete in order to find the most sustainable, innovative, and practical solutions to their given case. The cases are authentic and provided by different companies. As a student of Leiden University, you can join one of the competing teams, but you can also help organise the event. Study abroad

Would you like to gain (more) international experience? Then you can take electives during an exchange semester or conduct your thesis research project abroad. Both institutes have many international contacts that you can benefit from.
Please note that, as Governance of Sustainability offers a lot of core courses, doing an exchange semester will in most cases lead to an extension of your studies with one semester. Please contact the study advisors for more information.
