Frequently Asked Questions Matching

As part of the application process you will be invited to participate in a ‘matching activity’. This is to make sure that BSc Security Studies is the right programme for you. Matching is a compulsory part of your admission and application procedure.

The BSc Security Studies of Leiden University finds it very important that you carefully choose your study programme. By participating in the matching module, you will get a realistic idea of what the programme is about. Students who put time and effort into their choice of study programme are more likely to have success in the first year of the programme.

During the online matching module you watch several web lectures and answer multiple choice questions. This way you can get an impression of our programme.

Once you have completed the matching module, it is up to you to decide if you wish to finalize your application for our BSc Security Studies and start preparing for your studies in The Hague.

After you have registered in Studielink, the online learning coordinator of BSc Security Studies will send you an email within 10 business days with login details for the online matching module. Please note that the matching period starts in February 2021.  As of February invitations for the matching module will be sent.

In case you have not received an invitation to the matching module within 10 business days following the submission of your application, please contact securitystudies.spoc@fgga.leidenuniv.nl
