Bioarchaeology

Bioarchaeology covers the study of all biological remains from archaeological sites.

At the Leiden Faculty of Archaeology it includes Botany, Zoology, Human Osteology and Funerary Archaeology as well as geoarchaeology, and isotope archaeology.

There are three state of the art laboratories: the Laboratories for Archaeozoological and Archaeobotanical Studies, the Laboratory for Human Osteology and Funerary Archaeology.
