Xishu Li Joins SBB as an Assistant Professor in Technology and Operations Management after a short stay at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas USA, and with a PhD in Operations Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands. Xishu's research is in the fields of operations management, economic modelling, data analytics, software development, and quantitative logistics. She focuses on topics including capacity investment, dynamic pricing, consumer-based revenue management, new product launch, supply disruption risk forecasting, and sustainability. Xishu works closely with private and public organisations in her research, focusing on project-specific problems and using industry data. Specifically, her research reveals the underlying mechanisms behind the "irrational' investments observed in practice and suggests the best investment strategies, as well as pricing policy, at the current moment. Her research also helps firms gain competitive advantages by predicting the competitors' future moves. In terms of teaching, Xishu develops and teaches courses in Technology and Operations Management, and Decision & Decision & Risk Analysis at SBB.
