Shannon Yuen is a PhD student in the Developmental and Educational Psychology unit of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University.
Shannon Yuen is a PhD student in the Developmental and Educational Psychology unit of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University, under the supervision of Carolien Rieffe and Boya Li. Her PhD project is part of a larger study on social-emotional development in deaf or hard-of-hearing children aged 1 to 6. Shannon has already collaborated with Qi Meng, Yung-Ting Tsou, and Zijian Li in collecting the first wave of data in October 2019.
Shannon obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology at Dalhousie University, Canada, and her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at the University of Nevada, USA, during which time she worked as a therapist intern within the community.
