Sayeh is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Child Law and Health Law at the Institute of Private Law of Leiden University. Her research focuses on "The Meaning of Children's Right to Freedom of Religion".

Sayeh obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Law from Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran (2017), and her Master’s degree in Public Law from Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran (2020). Her first master’s thesis examined the impact of political education on human rights and freedoms. In 2022, she was awarded the Leiden Excellence Scholarship to pursue an Advanced LL.M. in International Children’s Rights at Leiden University, which she completed in 2023. Her LL.M. thesis focused on children’s right to protest and was nominated for the Jaap Doek Thesis Award. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the Department of Child Law and Health Law, Leiden University.

Sayeh has worked as a legal researcher in the fields of public law, human rights, and children’s rights, including for Iran’s Society for Protecting the Rights of the Child (IRSPRC NGO). After completing her Advanced LL.M., she began an internship at the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), where she conducted research on the Parentage/Surrogacy Project and on the International Family Law and Child Protection Conventions (2023–2024). She subsequently continued her work at the HCCH as a legal consultant, coordinating the Malta V Conference (2024).
