Rehana Dole has worked as a Research and Education staff member at the Institute of Private Law's Department of Child Law since 15 September 2022.

Rehana Dole joined the Research and Education team within Leiden Law School's Child Law Department on 15 September 2022. She holds an LL.B. (Hons.) degree in Law from the University of London and was called to the Bar before the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2018. She also holds an Advanced LL.M. degree in International Children's Rights from Leiden University. Prior to this, Rehana gained over five years of work experience in the non-profit sector in Sri Lanka. She has worked as a full-time consultant for UNICEF Sri Lanka for over four years, working on child justice, child protection and monitoring child rights. She also has experience with working with children and communities on peacebuilding and reconciliation in NGOs and INGOs in Sri Lanka. She will be coordinating the Private International Law course for the Advanced LL.M. in International Children's Rights. She will also be acting as the Managing Editor of the Leiden Children's Rights Observatory and conduct research for a project for UNICEF HQ on legislative reform.
