Mohit Khubchandani is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden University. His topic is: "Forum and harm specific metrics of compensation for environmental damages (MCES) for major international courts and tribunals". He is an International Disputes Resolution Attorney with 10 years of experience in Public International Law, Investment & Commercial Arbitration. For close to 3 years, he was an Associate at the Office of the Attorney General of India, where, including others, he was involved in ICJ, ITLOS, and PCA cases, besides civil and commercial litigation and arbitration. He then worked at several UN bodies for 3 years, including at the UNOCHA, ILC and ICJ, thus, being involved in close to 10 ICJ cases. Then, he spent 3 years working at different international law firms: Fietta, GBS Disputes, and WilmerHale, working on international investment and commercial arbitrations at the ICSID, PCA, ICC, ICDR, SIAC et. al. Mohit regularly delivers guest lectures at universities and has presented at international organisations such as the African Union and the WWF. He also regularly judges the world finals and regional rounds of world renowned moot courts (including having authored the 45th edition of Leiden's Telders Moot). Mohit holds a Masters in International Environmental & Energy Law from Stanford Law.
