Marlou Schrover is Professor of Economic and Social History, with a special interest in migration and diversity. She is also LDE Professor at the Erasmus University. LDE is a partnership between Leiden University, Delft University and the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She has over 180 publications, mostly about migration, gender, ethnicity, sexuality and class, and their intersections. She also publishes on the interaction between media and policy. She served on the PhD committee of over 45 PhD candidates, and (co-)supervises (or -vised) 21 PhD students. She is the co-founder of the interdisciplinary LDE master Governance of Migration and Diversity (GMD). She is the recipient of an NWO Veni grant, an Aspasia Grant, an NWO Vici Grant, and an NWA grant. She is co-founder and editor in chief of the Journal of Migration History.

Curriculum vitae
Marlou Schrover graduated in Journalism and Economic and Social History (both in Utrecht). She received her PhD at Utrecht University in 1991 for her research on labour relations. She continued to work at Utrecht University until 2001, when she moved to the ING (Instituut Nederlandse Geschiedenis) in The Hague. From January 2002 she also worked at the International Institute for Social History in Amsterdam. She came to Leiden University in 2003.
