More information about Marieke van der Hoek
Marieke van der Hoek has worked as a PhD candidate in the Institute of Public Administration since September 2016. Her research focuses on the relationship between context and leadership at multiple levels in public organizations, which she will study in the university sector.
Next to her PhD research, Marieke is involved in a research project on High Performance Teams in the Dutch public sector. She participates in data collection (online questionnaire, interviews) and analysis.
Marieke holds a Bachelor in Public Administration (cum laude) from Erasmus University Rotterdam (2014) and obtained her Master degree from Utrecht University, where she completed the Research Master programme in Public Administration & Organizational Science (2016). For her Master thesis, she conducted a mixed methods study on goal ambiguity and goal setting strategies at universities to develop measurement scales for these concepts.
