Manon is an interdisciplinary U.S. American studies scholar and lecturer, specialized in the U.S. American Evangelical Right and Televangelism, U.S. American Playful Apocalypticism and Conspiratorial Thinking, Memory and Colonial Violence. Currently they work as a PhD candidate on Dr. Sara Polak's ERC project "Worlding America: How Play Shaped the United States between New Media and New Politics," in which their project investigates how play and conspiracism within the evangelical media landscape - particularly televangelism and its associated cultural phenomena - have shaped U.S. society and politics, fueling patriarchal, white-supremacist visions of America.
