Mr.drs. Louisa Handel-Mazzetti is an external candidate at the Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University. Her PhD project is titled: A Lawful Star War? Analysing the Legal Status and Legal Gaps regarding the Use of Force in Outer Space. She is supervised by prof. Truxal, prof. Zwanenburg of the University of Amsterdam and dr. Masson-Zwaan.
Profile
Louisa is an Assistant Professor in military law at the Dutch Defence Academy (NLDA). Here, she teaches military officers-to-be in international humanitarian law, international law and disciplinary law. Previously, she worked at Utrecht University as a lecturer, the Dutch Parliament under current Minister of Defence Brekelmans, and at a law firm specialising in sanctions and export control. She studied International Law (LLM) at Utrecht University and War and Peace Studies (MSc) at Leiden University.
