From 2016 to 2019, Julie Reynders studied law (LL.B.) at Tilburg University. During her bachelor’s, Julie studied a semester abroad at the University of Alberta, Canada, and took part in the honours programme Top Class Tilburg Law School. In 2020, she completed the master programme Law, specialisation Civil law (LL.M.) at Leiden University (cum laude). Thereafter, she took classes of the specialisation Company law at Leiden University.
During her studies, Julie did internships at a law firm and a district court.

Julie's research focuses on the default and opposition procedure in Dutch civil procedure law. She is conducting research on the extent to which modification or abolition of these procedures is desirable. To this end, Julie partly examines whether inspiration can be drawn from some foreign default and opposition procedures.
