From 2016 to 2019, Julie Reynders studied her bachelor's in Law at Tilburg University. During her bachelor’s studies, Julie spent one semester abroad at the University of Alberta in Canada, and participated in the Top Class Tilburg Law School honours programme. In 2020, she graduated from Leiden University with a cum laude master's degree in Law, specialising in Civil law. She subsequently took master's courses in Company Law at Leiden University. During her studies, Julie completed an internship with a law firm and an internship at a district court.

Julie's research focuses on the default and opposition procedure in Dutch civil procedural law. She is currently researching the extent to which modifying or abolishing these procedures is favourable. As part of her research, she is exploring whether inspiration can be drawn from default and opposition procedures in other countries.
