Jill Stein has been associated with the Institute for Private Law, Department of Child Law, as a teacher since March 2022.
After completing her bachelor's in Law at Utrecht University, she obtained her master's degree in Child Law at Leiden University. In the years 2012-2015 she also worked at the Department of Child Law, initially as a student assistant and later as a junior teacher (2012-2015). She subsequently held various positions within the children’s rights field, such as in research, the Court of Appeal and the Ministry of Justice and Security. In these years she also obtained a master's degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology. As a volunteer she set up and coordinated the international volunteer team of UNICEF in The Hague and surroundings.
At Leiden University, Jill Stein is involved with the education within the Master's in Child Law, the Advanced Master's in International Children's Rights and the Bachelor's in Law. She also supervises students in writing their master's theses.
