Angie Carola Alarcon Rios is a Veterinary M.D, with an MS in public health and an M.Sc in Biomedicine. Her PhD project aims to combine clinical microbiology, pharmacology, and immunology towards determining Pseudomoma aeroginosa’s growth kinetics, tolerance and/or antimicrobial resistance (AMR) traits. Her research intends to provide fundamental insights for the development and optimization of personalized antimicrobial treatments against AMR and chronic lung infections caused by this opportunistic pathogen. As well as the elaboration and implementation of mathematical models for studies of this type.
