Forensic Family and Youth Care Studies

The programme group Forensic Family and Youth Care Studies is one of the six programme groups within the department of Child and Education Studies at Leiden University.

The group participates in all stages of the education programme: bachelor, master, research master, and PhD. Next to courses that prepare students for a career in programme development, implementation, and evaluation, policy, or research, the group also provides training that prepares students for a clinical career.

Researchers in the group are principal investigators in research projects on dysfunctional families, child maltreatment, foster care, and bullying, in which students are actively involved as part of a research internship, a bachelor thesis or a (research)master thesis.
