In Context
In Perspectief with Adam Cohen
In this episode, Mario receives Adam Cohen, emeritus professor of clinical pharmacology and co-founder of the CHDR. Cohen has been involved with the Leiden Science Education Hub for many years, where his activities include giving guest lectures to secondary school pupils.
He advocates that scientists themselves become educators and do not separate form and content too much. He considers standing in front of a class of secondary school pupils to be 'the best education course you can get'.
Cohen challenges ICLON: 'Why are we unable to get people hooked on our own content? That seems to me to be the research that ICLON should be doing.'
