Visit by PhD students from the University of Kansas
On 26 May 2026, the Leiden Institute of Chemistry (LIC) hosted a delegation of PhD students from the University of Kansas. They were visiting our university and also paid a visit to the institute.
The LIC is internationally renowned for the research into catalysis on metal surfaces and the development of new molecules to study biological processes. Following an introduction by the scientific director, the guests were given a tour of the organic and biochemical laboratories, led by two chemistry PhD students. They also visited NeCEN and the NMR facility. They were very pleased with the warm welcome, the impressive facilities and the delicious stroopwafels.
