Cake to celebrate two outstanding master’s programmes

Colleagues from three departments were treated to cake by Vice Dean Jan Crijns. This was to celebrate the ratings, excellent and above-average, awarded in the Keuzegids, the master’s programmes guide for 2025.

Advanced Master’s IDSA

The Advanced Master’s programme International Dispute Settlement and Arbitration (IDSA) was awarded an ‘excellent’ rating. The programme is taught in The Hague and staff from both the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies and BIO make an important contribution. The Vice Dean visited the BIO department, where Programme Coordinator Mette Léons was present on behalf of the Grotius Centre. The Vice Dean also visited all the other colleagues at the Grotius Centre.

Master’s Child Law

As in previous years, the master’s in Child Law received an above-average rating in the Keuzegids. To celebrate, Jan Crijns visited the Department of Child Law and Health Law, as well as Mariëlle Bruning who is Programme Director of the master’s in Child Law.

Jan Crijns: 'The Faculty Board is especially proud that two of our master’s programmes have been rated as excellent and above-average in the Keuzegids. This is a wonderful recognition of the commitment and passion that our colleagues, working together, put into their teaching every day. You don't achieve these results on your own – it’s a joint effort. We would therefore like to thank all colleagues who contributed to this for their dedication and professionalism.’
