Research.com publishes the 2026 ranking of top legal scholars. Carsten Stahn, professor of International Criminal Law & Global Justice, at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, ranks #244 worldwide and #7 in the Netherlands.
The ranking is based on the D-index (Discipline H-index) metric, which only includes papers and citation values for the examined discipline. The ranking includes only leading scientists with a D-index of at least 20 for academic publications made in the area of law.
