International Symposium on Circuit Topology Organized by Leiden University

For the third consecutive year, LACDR organized the international symposium on topology, Circuit Topology III, on November 29, 2023. The event aimed to bring together experts from diverse fields, including mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, and biomedical sciences, to discuss cutting-edge developments in circuit topology.

The symposium covered recent advances in the application of circuit topology in various areas, such as protein science, genomics, and cognitive sciences. Jonas Berx  discussed the application of circuit topology to multi-chain systems, including biomolecular aggregates and condensates, soft polymeric matter, and braided nanofibers.

LACDR scientist Alireza Mashaghi and mathematician Jose Ceniceros from Hamilton College, USA, chaired the event and provided an update on the current status of circuit topology research and the collaborative network. Mashaghi expressed hope that the technology would offer unprecedented biomarkers for disease analysis and pharmacology.
