Roel Becker and Jelle But new PhD candidates at Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law
Roel Becker and Jelle But recently joined the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law as PhD candidates.
Roel’s research will focus on the judicial review of decentralized policies, comparing the Netherlands with Germany and France, under the supervision of Geerten Boogaard and Jaap Polak. In addition, Roel will investigate responsiveness and customisation.
Jelle’s research is concerned with the internalisation of the Constitution, focusing among other things on the effectiveness of constitutional provisions in political and social practice. The research will be supervised by Wim Voermans and Gert Jan Geertjes and will be funded by the Gieskes-Strijbis Fund.
