Shortlist Hypatia-price 2020
We are pleased to announce that prof. Renée van Riessen is named on the shortlist for the Hypatia-price with her book 'Van zichzelf bevrijd'.
The Hypatia-price is a two yearly price for the best and most enticing philosophy book written by a women. The Hypatia-price is an initiative of the Society for Women in Philosophy and is meant for women in philosophy in The Netherlands and Flanders.
The Hypatia-price is named after the Greek philosopher Hypatia (ca 355-415). She was famous for her mathematical and astronomical knowledge. Today she is a symbol for feminism.
