Leiden University places sixth in QS Ranking Classics and Ancient History

Since 2010 QS publishes an annual ranking of the best universities in the world. The verdict is based on the quality of education and scientific research. This is gauged by surveys with employees and researchers and the amount of references in publications.
High performers in Classics
In placing sixth, Leiden University is the best place in the Netherlands to study Classics. We have gone up in the list by two spots in comparison to last year, which is great!

We are also doing well in other categories: we have placed 17th in History and 27th in Linguistics. Leiden University is at place 118 in the QS World Universities Ranking 2020.
