Launch of the seventh edition of the European Cyber Security Perspectives

On 4 March, KPN published the seventh edition of the European Cyber Security Perspectives. Els De Busser and Tommy van Steen, both Assistant Professors at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs, have contributed an article on interdisciplinarity.

The European Cyber Security Perspectives is a collaboration between the National Police, the National Cyber Security Center (of the Ministry of Security and Justice) and a large number of companies and educational institutions. Cooperation and sharing knowledge are essential in the field of cyber security. Therefore, the purpose of the report is to share this knowledge with a wider audience for the understanding of cyber security.

Interdisciplinarity 2.0

In their contribution to the report, Els De Busser and Tommy van Steen write that what cyber security needs is true interdisciplinarity rather than the multidisciplinarity that is currently the norm.

The report can be downloaded from the KPN website here.

Dr. Els De Busser conducts research on cybersecurity, data protection and European and international cooperation, and information exchange in criminal matters especially in the transatlantic relationship. Els is a researcher in the The Hague Program for Cyber Norms.
