Putting the history of squatting in Leiden on the map
When you think of squatting, the picture that comes to mind is of young people occupying derelict buildings in big cities. Leiden also has a history of squatting, and that history is very diverse.
This is what students and lecturers in the History and Journalism & New Media programmes discovered when they searched newspaper archives. They are now sharing their findings in an app that you can use to make a walking tour of Leiden and learn more about the history of squatting in the City of Keys. View the photos.
