Jus Post Bellum: Justice After the War
On Friday, November 17, 2017, Assistant Professor Jens Iverson provided the Keynote for the annual symposium by the Minnesota Journal of International Law: Jus Post Bellum: Justice After the War.
The event also featured Professor Fionnuala D. Ní Aoláin, Professor Oren Gross, Professor Kristen E. Boon, Professor Gregory Fox, Judge John Tunheim, and Professor Ruti Teitel.
Prof. Iverson’s Keynote concluded the event, drawing together the themes presented and building on recent scholarship on declarations of war. An extended version of the Keynote will be published by MJIL in 2018, provisionally titled War Aims Matter: Keeping Jus Contra Bellum Restrictive While Requiring the Articulation of the Goals of the Use of Force.
