All Leiden alumni in Brussels are welcome
On Thursday, 16 April 2026 our yearly Leiden Alumni in Brussel Event takes place at a new location: the King & Spalding Office at The Louise.
Professor Luc Sels, President of Leiden University’s Executive Board, will welcome all alumni with a short opening speech.
Our keynote speaker of this evening is Mr Geoffrey van Leeuwen. Van Leeuwen serves as the Chief of Staff and Director of the Office of the Secretary General at NATO headquarters in Brussels. He manages the staff supporting Secretary General Mark Rutte and previously held roles in the Netherlands as diplomat, National Security Advisor and Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. He is a Leiden alumnus of both Law and History.
After his speech, there will be a Q&A; followed by networking drinks and snacks.
