In February, we will be hosting our annual Leiden Alumni in Brussels Event at EBF, we are once again grateful for their hospitality. We look forward to meeting you on the 29th of February 2024!
Doors open at 18:15h. The event starts at 19:00h, our panel will discuss the European Elections. After the discussion, there’s drinks and snacks, and ample opportunity to meet with old friends and make new connections. Furthermore, alumni from our mentor network will be present who will be happy to answer all questions about working and living in Brussels.

19:00h Introduction by Mijanou Blaauw, External Relations, Leiden Law School
19:05h Opening by Wim Mijs, CEO European Banking Federation
19:15h Panel Discussion on the European Elections, moderated by Maxine David (European Studies - Humanities). Confirmed panel members are: Niels van Willigen, Associate Professor of International Relations in the Institute of Political Science at Leiden, Ben Smulders, Deputy Director General, DG Competition, European Commission (and alumnus of Law), and Sarah Wolff, professor in European Politics and International Relations, Faculty of Humanities.
