We are pleased to announce that Dr. Clemens Mayer will give the next LED3 Talk on May 25th, 2023. Clemens Mayer is Assistant Professor for Biomolecular Chemistry and Catalysis at the Stratingh Institute for Chemistry of the University of Groningen. His group is well known for combining metal catalysis and biocatalysts in microbes in order to build cellular factories for the efficient synthesis of tailored value-added compounds. Furthermore, they are pioneering new reactions for the cyclisation of peptides with linkers that result in privileged scaffolds for drug discovery using e.g. phage display.
