Joint degree programme: ALGANT

It is possible to spend one year at Leiden University as part of the ALGANT programme, a joint master’s degree with Bordeaux, Duisburg-Essen, Regensburg, Milano, Paris-Sud, Padova and Montreal. This gives you a great opportunity to see how mathematics is done in different countries, and to encounter a very wide range of topics and of potential PhD advisors. Students following this programme are obliged to take courses from two of the participating universities. More information about the ALGANT programme can be found on this website

Dutch Master programme in Mathematics: Mastermath

Mastermath, the Dutch national master’s programme in Mathematics, offers courses open to all mathematics master’s students at Dutch universities. These courses are usually offered at convenient central locations across the Netherlands, bringing students from different universities together. Both the master specialisation Applied Mathematics and the master specialisation Algebra, Geometry and Number Theory require that you take at least 30 EC of Mastermath courses.
