Master's Open Days
During the Master's Open Days you’ll have the opportunity to learn all about Leiden University’s master's programmes. Attend presentations about your chosen programme(s) or practical matters such as admissions and housing. Get real insight into the content of your preferred master's, along with the career opportunities it will bring.
When are the next Open Days?
As a student-for-a-day, you will participate with our students in a day of lectures and working groups. We have scheduled dates in each of the various courses, i.e. Biology of Vitality and Ageing (BVA), Older Individual (OI) and Organisation of an Ageing Society (OAS). The perfect opportunity to experience the atmosphere and student life at the LUMC!
You can join on:
- Monday, 13 October 2025, 09.00-16.00 (BVA)
- Friday, 14 November 2025, 10.00-15.00 (BVA)
- Thursday, 4 December 2025, 09.00-15.00 (OI)
- Tuesday, 3 March 2026, 09.00-16.00 (OAS)
Join us and register now for student-for-a-day.
Our student ambassador will guide you through the day. Please chat with our student ambassador or send an e-mail to masterhas@lumc.nl if you want to join.
If you cannot make it the entire day, please contact us so that we can arrange an alternative time schedule.
Experience days will be on:
- Tuesday, 28 October 2025, 16.00-18.00 (incl. snacks)
- Monday, 20 April 2026, 16.30-18.30 (incl. snacks)
During the Experience days, you will gain a broader insight in what it is like to study Health, Ageing and Society by following the interactive mini lectures of the three main modules of the Master’s. Next to that, you will have the opportunity to talk to our students, alumni and master staff about the programme, career aspects and any other questions you may have. Also, our student ambassador is present to tell you more about the life as a HAS student.

Each year, our students create a yearbook in which they describe their experience with the programme and their internships, interview older individuals, talk about the field trips, and much more. Check out the yearbooks below.
