Bart Schuurman is Professor of Terrorism and Political Violence at Leiden University. His recent work maps Russian hybrid attacks in Europe since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It explores how operations are structured and what role so-called ‘disposable agents’ play in carrying them out.

Prof. Paul Gill
Prof. Paul Gill introduces participants to practical frameworks for assessing and prioritizing risk when faced with a rapidly shifting threat landscape. By the end of the session, they will better understand how to make informed, defensible decisions in cases involving extremism, radicalisation, and targeted violence.

Graham MacklinGraham Macklin is Senior Researcher at the Centre for Research on Extremism (C-REX). His research focuses on extreme-right and fascist movements, political violence, and terrorism in Europe and North America, with particular attention to accelerationist and nihilistic forms of violence.

Jacob Aasland RavndalJacob Aasland Ravndal is Professor at the Norwegian Police University College and affiliated researcher at the Centre for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the Oslo University in Norway. His research focuses on terrorism, political violence, and extremism in liberal democracies, with particular expertise in right-wing terrorism and comparative event data.
