Traditional publishing is often criticized for being inefficient and non-transparent. This inspiration session will provide an introduction to a new way of communicating research work: the Publish-Review-Curate (PRC) model. In this model, the scientific publishing proces is approached in distinct stages. In the publish stage, the research works are published by the creator before undergoing peer review. In the review stage, fellow researchers and other peers provide feedback in an open way. In the curate stage, the research works are assessed for quality and relevance and compiled together with the evaluations by the reviewers. In this way, the PRC model offers a more transparent, more rapid, and more efficient publishing process. Although the model has been in use since the early 2000s, it is now gaining traction. Join the conversation about what it entails, and about the benefits for researchers and research institutions.

Researchers, prospective authors, early-career researchers who are embarking on the current scholarly system, skeptics as well as positivists.
