Mr. T. (Tim) Lubbers (1996) studied Civil Law and Art History (both with distinction) at Leiden University. In 2019 he obtained the degree of Magister Juris from the University of Oxford. In September-December 2021, Lubbers is working as an education and research staff member at the legal history department.
As a Meijers PhD Candidate, Lubbers will start his PhD research in January 2022 under the supervision of prof.dr. Egbert Koops. His research focuses on the creation and historical development of the limited liability of shipowners under maritime private law. His further interests include Roman-Dutch law and legal iconography.
Lubbers teaches the first-year course on Roman Law and supervises bachelor theses.
