Thy Pham studied Public Administration (with master’s in Governance and Law) and Dutch law (with master’s in Company Law). She obtained her doctorate from the Erasmus University Rotterdam on an empirical study of directors’ and officers’ liability (2017). In her dissertation: Directors’ liability. A legal and empirical study, she investigated under what conditions and why directors are impacted by directors’ liability risks in making business decisions. Moreover, she developed a statistical, probability model, to provide insight into the factors Dutch civil courts base their decisions to adjudicate or reject directors’ liability. Before entering academia, Thy started her career in strategy consultancy where she developed special interest for understanding decision makers and decision making in relation to legal and institutional constraints. In her current work she devotes herself to interdisciplinary researchers in the field of corporate governance, directors’ liability, corporate litigation and M&A.
