I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Division of Drug Discovery and Safety (DDS) under the supervision of Prof. Bob van de Water and Dr. Marije Niemeijer. Before, I obtained my BSc and MSc degrees in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University. During my master's, I performed an internship at the LACDR about drug resistance in pancreatic cancer in the group of Erik Danen. I performed my second internship at MIMETAS (an organ-on-a-chip company) to develop a 3D multicellular liver fibrosis model. My Ph.D. project is part of PARC (Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals) and within this project, I will access different test systems to model liver fibrosis after chemical exposure. For this purpose, I will make use of techniques like microscopy, Western Blotting/ ELISA, and TempO-seq.
