Suzanne van den Bosch is program coordinator of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Program Climate and Biodiversity, working closely together with the LDE-Centre for Sustainability.

Professional Experience

Dr.ir. Suzanne van den Bosch is program coordinator of the recently launched Leiden-Delft-Erasmus program Climate and Biodiversity, working closely together with the LDE-Centre for Sustainability. Her role is to connect the urgent societal challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss in transdisciplinary educational, research and network activities.

Suzanne developed a passion for sustainability transitions 25 years ago during her studies Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. She obtained a PhD in 2010 on transition management, conducting action research about transition experiments at the Dutch Research Institute for Transitions (Erasmus University Rotterdam).

After her PhD Suzanne worked as a consultant and freelancer for various knowledge institutes, education- and innovation programs, including the Transition Academy and EIT Climate-KIC. She has experience with working in different roles, as a researcher, advisor, lecturer, trainer, program manager and future explorer. Suzanne also worked as a senior advisor societal transitions at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.

Suzanne enjoys connecting people, ideas or initiatives, building bridges between science, policy and practice and looking beyond the borders of organizations, disciplines and generations.
