I am a PhD Candidate in the CARECENTURY project, studying how how material objects related to childcare, such as textiles, midwifery tools, and toys were informed by shifting socio-political dynamics in Central and Eastern Europe in the 20th Century. My research focuses on gender, reproduction, and material culture. Prior to this appointment, I received my Master's through the Gender Studies Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Program in Utrecht, The Netherlands and Bologna, Italy, and conducted research on birth and abortion activism in Buenos Aires, Argentina through a Fulbright research grant. With the Crafting Resistance Collective, I also curate events and exhibits linking textiles and activism throughout The Netherlands.
