S.J. (Sil) Douma MA LLB (2001) studied Classics at Leiden University and obtained his degree cum laude in 2024. Apart from this he has also studied Law at the same university. Since September 2024, Sil works at the department of Legal History as a PhD student. Under supervision of prof. mr. E. Koops, mr. Q. Mauer and mr. C.E. Smith, he writes a thesis on equity (aequitas) in the works of Augustine of Hippo.
